Teachers Profile

Viscaya Lois Marina Sangari, better known as Ms Lois, was born in Jakarta, October 1986. She studied at the Faculty of Economy, majoring in Accounting and graduated in 2011 from Atma Jaya Catholic University.

Started ballet in 1992, in 2005 she was trained as one of the Jazz Hip Hop, Jazz Ballet and Ballet teachers in Namarina Dance Academy. In 2014 she joined the Management of Namarina Dance Academy as a Full Time Teacher.

She was chosen as one of the dancers in Namarina Youth Dance (NYD) and had continued dancing until its 6th Season. In NYD’s 8th season she was appointed Assistant to Choreographer, while in its 9th season she became Ballet Mistress / Company Manager / Assistant to Choreographer, where she created a piece of dance, titled “Derap Serdadoe”. During NYD’s 10th season, she made her debut as  a choreographer and created a 15-minutes choreography titled “Conquer”. She also made a couple of choreographies on NYD’s 4th season performance and DanceScape 2013. In 2015, she was entrusted to lead a Hip Hop workshop in Namarina’s Internal event, Jazz Odyssey 2. She worked in Namarina Dance Academy for 10 years, and now she decided to spread her wings by becoming a freelancer teacher.

She also had the experience outside of dance world, working as a Finance and Accounting personnel in one of the companies in Sudirman area. Because of her passion, though, even after office hours, and on weekends, she still dedicated herself to teach her classes in Namarina Dance Academy. After 2 years of juggling, she finally decided to submit her life to her passions : To teach and choreograph.

With more than a decade of experience, she hopes she can share her knowledge and her passion to everyone who wants to learn and loves to dance.
